Afin de r\u00e9duire les allergies respiratoires, nous avons aujourd\u2019hui souvent recours \u00e0 la d\u00e9sensibilisation, une proc\u00e9dure m\u00e9dicale qui agit sur la cause m\u00eame des troubles en utilisant le m\u00eame principe que la r\u00e9action allergique, ou plut\u00f4t son oppos\u00e9.<\/p>\n

L’allergie est caus\u00e9e par une hyper-r\u00e9action du syst\u00e8me immunitaire qui identifie des particules simplement\u00a0irritantes<\/a>\u00a0comme une menace pour l’organisme ; cette identification \u00ab exag\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00bb est donc accompagn\u00e9e de sympt\u00f4mes tels que la\u00a0rhinorrh\u00e9e<\/a>, une\u00a0congestion nasale<\/a>\u00a0et d’une r\u00e9ponse inflammatoire aigu\u00eb.<\/p>\n

La d\u00e9sensibilisation vise \u00e0 contr\u00f4ler la r\u00e9ponse du syst\u00e8me immunitaire gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une exposition contr\u00f4l\u00e9e aux allerg\u00e8nes. Le patient allergique absorbe, sous forme d’injection ou par voie sublinguale, une petite quantit\u00e9 d’allerg\u00e8nes, \u00e0 intervalles r\u00e9guliers sur une p\u00e9riode de plusieurs mois, voire plusieurs ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Au fil du temps, la d\u00e9sensibilisation permet d’obtenir une r\u00e9ponse immunitaire \u00e0 l’allerg\u00e8ne moins forte et, par cons\u00e9quent, les sympt\u00f4mes g\u00eanants se pr\u00e9sentent beaucoup moins fr\u00e9quemment et moins intens\u00e9ment.<\/p>\n
